We had several rounds of interviews, including a take-home assignment. It was a bit time-consuming, and they often debated internally about team fit. The process began with an initial recruiter chat and concluded with an HR meeting. In between, I met with lead designers.

The interview experience was great overall! It started with an HR call, followed by a meeting with the design lead where my portfolio was reviewed. The next stage involved a live design whiteboard challenge, which unfortunately didn't go as planned. Two designers from the company were present. I had one hour to complete the task online using Invision Freehand, where the challenge was described and I was expected to brainstorm and design a solution. I felt I struggled to come up with a good structure and strong ideas. About a week later, the company provided specific feedback on my strengths and areas for improvement.

So, after I had two interviews, I didn't hear anything back. I got this weird technical email saying my data was deleted. My follow-ups about the application status were totally ignored. Even reaching out on LinkedIn didn't get a response, and I just wanted some feedback. It wasn't until I chased them a bunch more, even with help from other people, that I finally found out I was rejected and they offered feedback, which they never actually gave. It was a really bad ghosting experience, and it felt like they didn't respect candidates at all, which is weird because their website talks about being caring.
