It started with a recruiter call to get acquainted. Then there was a technical coding interview focusing on SQL and Python, conducted with an analytics engineer and a data engineer. The process concluded with a meeting with the Hiring Manager to discuss past experiences, specifically how you articulated trade-offs or the technical reasoning behind your choices.

The interview process was pretty standard. First, there was an HR round where they checked if I was a good fit for the company and the role. Typical questions like 'Why Delivery Hero?' were asked. My tip is to research the company well and show your enthusiasm. Then, I had a technical round with the data scientist manager who assessed my big data skills, asking about Spark and Presto, but no coding. Next, an Engineering Manager interviewed me. This involved 30 minutes of technical discussion about my resume (Airflow, Spark) and 30 minutes for a coding challenge (a simple 2-sum problem on a sorted array). Finally, the Bar Raiser round, which I was nervous about, involved an interview with a senior person from another team, a Team Manager in my case. He was very friendly and cooperative. This round began with resume questions and included an easy coding challenge: modify a sorted array with duplicates in-place so no number appears more than twice, and return the array and its count. The interview rounds themselves were quite simple, and the people were friendly. However, the process was slow, taking about 5 weeks due to postponements because interviewers were busy. My advice is to be patient and don't constantly ask HR for feedback.

The interview process felt disorganized. It took over 40 days, even though they initially said it would be around 25 days. I had to constantly follow up for updates.
