I had an initial phone screen that went pretty well, and they wanted to schedule a second, more technical interview. The scheduling was a bit rushed, with less than a day's notice and no confirmation, which wasn't ideal. I couldn't make it since I'm already employed full-time. I also didn't get a response when I followed up on their email asking for questions. After another week, we had the technical round, which seemed to go okay, as indicated by a follow-up email mentioning they were impressed with my skills. Then, we scheduled a third round, a three-hour interview with more technical and behavioral questions, and I met some team members. They said I'd hear back in a week, but I didn't. Two weeks later, I sent a follow-up email to check on the position, assuming I probably wasn't selected. Still no response. It felt rude and unprofessional, considering I invested over 5 hours in total, plus preparation time, and didn't even get a quick email update. It left a bad impression.

I first had a phone call, and then I came in two separate times to meet the team. I was asked a lot of technical questions, like how to design a database schema for a board game and about tree structures. They also really wanted to know if I was interested in working there to make sure it was a good fit. There was a part about PHP and a part about Java because that's what the site is built on. The Java part focused on core Java concepts like what a Set is, what a HashMap is, and how HashMaps work internally.

Started with a timed Hackerrank test with JS trivia, 18 questions in 8 minutes. Then a video call for background questions and a live React & Redux coding challenge. The interviewer was extremely rude, cussing and voicing opinions. Ended with an onsite interview with an HTML/CSS challenge, site architecture evaluation, and ES6 questions. The interviewer was disdainful when I couldn't answer questions. They said they'd be in touch but never were.

It was all done over email, super friendly. Only took one day and I was hired super fast, like a couple hours. After that, I met up with someone who helped me download and learn the apps, and gave me my hot bag.
