First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Delicato Family Wines.
Lab Technician
The interview process was pretty standard. The atmosphere was good. I checked in at the tasting room and was escorted back to the lab. It was pretty formal and I was taken on a tour of the lab facility.
- What makes you want to work for Delicato?
Area Sales Manager
Had an initial call with the hiring manager that went great, quickly connected with their boss over a Zoom call the following week which also went well. After that, met in person with hiring manager for a couple of hours to discuss role in more detail. The following week a call was scheduled with HR to discuss compensation plan and timeline on next steps regarding a potential call with VP/President and offer. Then I hit radio silence for about 10 days - then I found out I was runner-up for the position? Ultimately, each conversation was great - but that last call with HR should have never happened as I felt absolutely led on after the final decision. A very strange order of operations / process for an interview.
- Tell me about your greatest strength, rather than a weakness.
Brand Manager
The process was simple and fast. First, there was a phone screen with HR. Then, I had an in-person interview that lasted 2 hours with the hiring manager and some other people from the department. I got the offer a few days later.
- Can you tell me about a project you've done in the past and what outcomes it had?
Legal Administrative Assistant
The interview process with Delicato was a positive experience, described as friendly. It might take a while because you'll likely talk to several people on the legal team. No issues were encountered.
- What prompted your decision to move into this field from a different career background?
