First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Delaware Valley University.
Program Manager
The interview process was really professional, though it felt a bit intimidating with so many questions. It wasn't overly stressful, though. Make sure you're ready to answer 'Why DelVal?'. They have a lot of info on their website about the school's history and mission, so definitely check that out.
- How does DelVal align with your educational beliefs?
Instructor
I got a call after sending my resume in on HigherEdJobs.com. Then I went to the campus for an in-person meeting.
- Were you aware that most instructors don't stay long and you might not always have a course to teach each semester?
Assistant Professor
The hiring process had poor communication and slow response times. The search committee interviewers seemed disorganized. They had a very poor callback time. There were 2 rounds of interviews, including a teaching sample, followed by a long wait to hear back. The HR recruiter was kind. Overall, it was a less than average experience.
- How are you a good fit for this role?
