First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DeLaval.
Solutions Marketing Manager
First I had a call with the recruiter, then an onsite interview about two months after that, and then it took another two months to set up the final onsite interview. Since I live in another state, they paid for my hotel rooms back in January and March. It's now June 2, and I still haven't gotten reimbursed even though I've asked and reminded them multiple times.
- Can you discuss your resume and past experiences?
- Could you address these business case questions?
- Could you prepare a presentation based on your responses to the business case?
Product Solution Specialist
The recruiter got in touch, and after a quick phone chat, I had one onsite interview where I met with people from five different departments. The whole thing went on for over a month, though there were a few holiday weekends in there. It was pretty standard, mostly questions about my experience and some situational ones.
- Tell me about your experience.
- Can you describe a situation you faced and how you handled it?
Berater Außendienst
The company was introduced, I was asked to briefly present my career path, and then we discussed the duties of the advertised position. Finally, there was a question about salary, possible start date, etc. The conversation lasted about 55 minutes and was very pleasant.
- Could you briefly outline your career path?
- What are your salary expectations?
- When is your possible start date?
Procurement Specialist
I had a phone interview with a recruiter in Chicago, and then an on-site interview in Kansas City. I met with the hiring manager and an engineer. It was a little hard to get a sense of what the people liked about working at DeLaval.
- Tell me about your negotiating skills.
- Describe your experience preparing contracts.
- From your background, what's your perspective on customer focus?
