It was a standard interview with about 10-12 questions. They wanted me to use the STAR method to answer. The interview was over the phone with a panel of 3 interviewers. Each person asked around 3 questions.

I applied via email and it took a while to hear back because of a hiring freeze. Months after submitting my resume, I was contacted by a hiring agent and scheduled for a Teams interview. During the interview, one person asked me ten questions and took notes on my answers.

Weird interview..it was supposed to be a 3-panel interview, but only 2 showed up. The interviewers were late and seemed uninterested from the start. I was surprised by this as this is supposed to be the ultra-professional Federal government. Typical questions were asked. I was surprised I had no offer, as the DCAA is begging for employees. I guess being picky explains why they are so behind on working on defense contracts from 2015.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • What is your motivation for applying to the DCAA?
  • Can you describe your verbal and written communication abilities?
  • What is your understanding of job costing?
