First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deerland Probiotics & Enzymes.
QC Lab Manager
I was reached out to by ADM on Indeed about a leadership position they needed to fill quickly. I sent in my application via their website as they asked and ended up having two interviews in the same week, one on Thursday and another on the next Monday. From what I saw, with the mixed messages, weird communication, and super fast rejection, it felt like they were just comparing me to someone they already had in mind internally. To sum it up: ADM contacted me directly on Indeed. I had two interviews that week. Got rejected in less than two days, and the reasons they gave didn't quite add up, plus there was a video call where the Head of Quality didn't even show their face and the team seemed a bit out of sync.
- The HR person mentioned this role is a top priority but they're struggling to find people qualified to manage both the analytical and microbiology labs. Can you speak to that?
- This interview was supposed to be technical, but there weren't any actual technical questions. It felt more like general management questions about leadership.
- Can you describe your management approach and leadership style?
Inside Sales Representative
The interview was straightforward, though it took some time. I went through four interviews, and the people were really great. It seemed like everyone I spoke with genuinely liked working there and had been with the company for a while.
- What motivates your interest in working for Deerland?
Planner
The process had 4 interviews. First, an external recruiter reached out. Then, there was a 1-hour phone screening with the company. After that, I had a 3-hour interview with 5 interviewers, split into 3 sessions. Finally, I interviewed with the hiring manager. An offer came about a week after accepting. The whole thing took about 2 months.
- Mostly informal questions, not behavioral.
