It was easy and simple, 4 interviews total: first just a screening with HR, then the hiring manager talked to me and asked about my current job, skills, and product management experience. The last 2 interviews were with team members I would be working closely with.

First, I had a 1:1 with the hiring manager, which covered typical Java and SQL stuff. Then, I went through 4 technical interview rounds at their office. The engineers mostly asked similar questions throughout: standard Java, a few programming problems, and SQL. I managed to answer everything except for one advanced Oracle question across all four rounds. Finally, there was one more 1:1 with the hiring manager. Overall, it was a decent experience from my end as I answered all questions. However, the recruiters never followed up or replied to my emails, which was really unprofessional and disappointing.

So I had a phone chat with the hiring manager first. Then, about a week later, they invited me to come in person to meet with a few folks from the team, like 3 or 4 people. Most of the stuff they asked was about how I'd handle situations and my past experiences. They wanted to know about my work history, my background, and my technical abilities. They also gave me some scenarios to see how I'd approach problem-solving. The team was really nice and chill, they were super positive and paid attention to me. The whole thing felt pretty comfortable.

I applied online and a recruiter reached out. The first call was a basic screening. Then I had an onsite interview scheduled with an executive manager and the hiring manager. The executive was sick and did a conference call instead. The recruiter was friendly at first, but then became standoffish after the hiring manager interview. The hiring manager seemed tired or uninterested during our interview, but she was honest about the company's history and morale post-layoff. Other employees were very nice and offered help and water. The recruiter said a decision would be made the next week, but I never heard back despite following up.
