it was a pretty easy and straightforward phone interview. they asked standard job-related questions, nothing weird or out of place. i felt pretty good about it, but i didn't end up getting the job. i was hoping for it because it seems like there aren't many job options for students during the summer besides being a lifeguard.

The manager met me in a quiet spot in the store and told me to wait until they were done with something else before they could interview me. The interview was nice and the manager was very friendly and polite. I was offered the job but turned it down, and they said they'd keep my application in case I changed my mind. But when I contacted them later, my application was gone.

It was a really basic interview with standard questions about my experience and salary expectations. They asked about my prior job and responsibilities, and what I hoped to gain from this role. Honestly, it wasn't a tough interview compared to others I've had. The HR staff seemed pretty inexperienced, though, based on my interactions.
