Intern
The company's website laid out the interview details pretty clearly, with stats even! They also sent really good, transparent emails about the next rounds. It started with a HireVue style interview, then moved into casing and behavioral questions, and finished with building a slide deck. I think they really want people who can "hit the ground running" and have experience with slide decks. I liked the questions because they seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me.
- If you could go back in time or were in an alternate universe, what would you have studied?
Intern
So, I had a few rounds of interviews. The first one was this HireVue thing, like a virtual interview. It started with some personality questions, like, 'What would you do if you weren't in this field?' and 'Tell me something surprising about you.' Then it moved into a case study that I had to talk through to the camera. I think the second round was just a chat with HR, but honestly, I can't recall perfectly. The second to last round involved a logistical case study. No heavy math, mostly just explaining how AI will change the industry, talking about potential growth, and any worries. The very last round was a case presentation. I had to put together a presentation deck and then present it to the hiring team. They asked a few follow-up questions, but it wasn't heavy on consulting math or anything.
- Can you explain how AI is anticipated to revolutionize the industry, covering both its expansion potential and associated challenges?
Intern
I only had one interview round, which was 30 minutes long and included a case study and a fit assessment. The case interview was unusual because it was mostly qualitative. The interviewer showed me a chart with data on different companies and asked me to help a client decide which company to use for manufacturing their diagnostic test. The interviewer wasn't very professional and seemed uninterested, not offering much useful feedback.
- What's a possible target market for a company that makes a test to detect poisons or toxins in food?
