The interview process was really easy. The recruiter and hiring manager communicated well and were very clear about how they evaluated candidates. It all happened pretty fast. It included a phone interview, meeting with the recruiter in person.

The company seemed really interested at first, moving super fast and following up quickly. They sent me some screening questions about my background. After I sent those back, I was asked to come in for an analytical test. It was pretty tough, but I guess I did well enough because they asked me back for more interviews. They told me to research their products and be ready to talk about them. I ended up doing three interviews back-to-back, the last one with the owner, and it all took about 2.5 hours. I put in about 10-12 hours total for this job and never heard anything back. It's a bummer because they seem to offer a useful service, but it's not cool to ghost a candidate after they've put in so much time.

Their hiring process is quite interesting. First, they send you a list of screening questions which takes a good amount of time to finish. After that, you're asked to come in for a written logic test, which seems like they didn't put much effort into as all questions are copied from the internet. Only if you pass the logic test, they will call you for an interview. I have no advice to give, and I'm glad I didn't get an offer. They never bothered to get back with any response. My current company is small, but after interviews for any position, they send proper feedback to each candidate along with an update on their application status. With Deccan International, I'm highly disappointed that they never provided any updates post-interview, even though I was told I would be informed either way. Sometimes these small gestures reveal a lot about a company's culture and ethics. I haven't read good reviews about the CEO, and though I've never met her, if this is the culture she's leading, it doesn't reflect well on her leadership. In summary, Deccan takes a lot of your time through several steps but doesn't give any of their time to provide feedback or status updates after the interview. I'm sure they'll find someone for the position, but I'm happy I didn't join an organization that doesn't respect an individual's time and effort and doesn't find it worthy to communicate any updates.

I applied via an employee referral and the whole process took about a month. First, I got a general questionnaire. Then, there was a technical test where I had to share my screen or use VNC. The last round was a face-to-face with the CTO and the engineering team. A couple of weeks later, HR let me know I got selected and the offer was extended.
