Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process moved quickly. About 2 weeks after applying, I got a call from HR. The HR person was really nice and clear about how things worked and the pay. Then, just a few days after that, I heard back about a second and final interview. This final round involved a case study presentation that I had a week to prepare for. It was a 90-minute interview with the management team, then a 30-minute chat with a peer. The case study itself was a bit unclear but pretty interesting to work on. One manager was super friendly and involved, but another barely showed up on camera and seemed disengaged, even showing up late. The peer interview was chill, but again, neither interviewer had their camera on. They said to put about 12 hours into the prep, and I ended up spending around 15 hours on it all. After all that, I got ghosted by Deallus, which felt really unprofessional and disrespectful given how much work I put in. You'd think sending a quick email to say I didn't get the offer would be the least they could do, but nothing came.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process started with two phone screenings. The first was with HR, and the second was with a senior consultant. Both were quite general and didn't delve deeply into my background. I mentioned my limited knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, coming from academia, but I still advanced to the final stage. The final interview involved a case study about second-generation drugs. While interesting to prepare for, I lacked the expertise for the market-related aspects and focused on areas I knew well, like selectivity, administration, and safety. I was told I wasn't successful and haven't received detailed feedback yet. I'm unsure if my presentation was weak or if I didn't emphasize the market success and financial aspects enough, as I suspect. I feel an earlier, more accurate screening might have been beneficial for both parties to ensure alignment.

So after you apply, there are like 4-5 written questions that are typical "tell me about a time" type questions. Then there's a first round which is a 30 min HR phone screen, it was super chill and the HR person was really nice and open about everything. After that, there's a research project that takes about a week to complete. Then you have a 1.5 hour interview where you present your case study, and then a 30 min peer interview.
