First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dealers United.
Account Service
My interviewer was a bit late, like eleven minutes, and made it clear we were running out of time, so they rushed through the interview. They said they'd get back to me by the end of the week or start of the next, but they never did. I followed up a bunch, but still nothing. It's pretty telling about a company when they don't even bother to reply to you. Getting ghosted after an interview is rough, especially when you were really stoked about the job and the hiring manager. It's a shame because I was super excited about this role. Apparently, ghosting candidates is kind of their thing, based on what I've heard.
- What makes you want to join this company?
Marketing
Had a great panel interview with leadership, but then got ghosted. Everyone was super friendly and left a great impression. They explicitly said someone would be in touch, like 'don't worry'. Surprise! Ghosted.
- What are your thoughts on general marketing, automation, reporting, and what's next?
Social Media Specialist
the interview process was super quick and smooth. there were 3 rounds in total. the last interview was with the CEO. i first spoke with the talent recruiter and then interviewed with some of my potential coworkers.
- What would a typical day in this role involve for me?
Marketing Manager
I applied on the website and heard back the same day for a phone chat. First, I talked to the CEO, then a week later I talked to the COO, who was the hiring manager. Both calls were pretty casual, mostly me talking about myself and them explaining the job. I mentioned I didn't have a ton of digital marketing experience, but they said it was okay because they cared more about cultural fit. But then they said I didn't get the job because I didn't have enough experience.
- Are you willing to keep in touch with dealerships regularly, even sending quick email follow-ups outside of business hours when necessary?
