Behavioral Technical Presentation

I sent in my application online and then had a phone screening. After that, I went to their Seattle office for an in person interview with 4 different teams. The in person part involved meeting one person from each team, and they all asked me questions, and I got to ask them questions too, which was great for me to see if I liked the company. I also had a one on one with the COE at the end, and that's where they asked the most technical questions since he was really into the technical side.

Behavioral Technical

Got an offer 7 days after applying. It was a video chat, then a 2-hour in-person interview. My chats with the Marketing Director were great, we clicked and I felt good. She did the video call and the first part of the in-person. Two other people interviewed me in person: a customer service rep who used to market for Deako, and a product manager. I got along with the customer service rep, but the product manager asked really technical, irrelevant questions that made me feel awkward and unprepared. Definitely research the company a lot before applying. Everyone was respectful. I liked the personalized rejection email I got. It took about a month to get rejected after the interview.

Behavioral Technical Coding System Design Presentation

After an initial contact, the hiring manager called me for an hour-long non-technical phone screen. We spent about 30 minutes on my background and interests, and 30 minutes on the company. I got to ask questions too. Then, I had a one-hour technical phone screen with the lead developer. They asked some easy questions specifically about the tech and methods for the job. I also got to ask them questions. After that, I was invited for a 30-minute informal onsite tour and the main event: a six-hour in-person interview two weeks later. They seemed to bring candidates in groups of 2-4 and rotate staff through different rooms. Lunch was provided. The in-person part had two coding rounds (problems were not too hard, focused on building solutions, one language-specific, one abstract/algorithmic), a system design round, a presentation round where I talked about my past work, and a casual behavioral round with the VP of engineering. The interviewers were helpful when I got stuck, and intense but focused. They said I wasn't selected in a call two days later.

The interview was about 5 hours long, and I met with five different people in separate interviews. It felt like most of them didn't really understand my position or role, and one person seemed pretty uninterested in my interview.
