First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deacon.
Marketing Coordinator
The whole thing took a few weeks. A recruiter hit me up about a week after I applied to schedule an initial phone screen. It lasted about 30 minutes and was mainly about introducing the company, the job, and asking about my past position. The very next day, I got an invite for the first in-person interviews. This involved meeting with the recruiter and my potential manager. It felt super chill and comfy, just asking basic stuff about my background and how it fits the role. Then there was a third round of interviews, another in-person meeting. Everyone I met was really chill and super nice.
- Can you tell me about your previous role?
- So, why construction?
Project Assistant
It was a typical interview process. We kicked things off with a phone interview, then I came in for an in-person meeting. After that, I was invited back for a group panel interview. Overall, it went pretty well. They asked basic questions and had a light-hearted vibe. I also got to ask a few questions of my own to understand the role better.
- How do you do in a fast paced environment?
- What are your strengths/weaknesses?
- How would you handle a stressful coworker?
Project Engineer
This was a career fair event for college students. The interview was about 30 minutes, covering past experiences and general non-work related questions. Two interviewers were present, followed by a 15-minute phone call.
- Tell me about your past work experience.
- What are your career aspirations for this role?
Paralegal
I met with the hr manager for a 30-minute meeting, and then I completed a written test. It was straightforward and pretty good. There were only 2 of us interviewing.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Why are you interested in this role?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
