IM Analyst
The interview process involved a security check and then moved smoothly into a meeting room. The facilities were reasonably good, with a welcoming atmosphere in the recently refurbished space. It wasn't overcrowded and there was plenty of parking onsite. It's a secluded area in Maidenhead, easy to find.

Data Scientist
A recruiter reached out, and then about 7 days later, I had a phone call with a director who explained the role and NDA. We had a good technical and general chat, and after passing that, I was invited for an in-person interview. I met with the project manager, who was good. Midway through, a consultant joined and started asking random questions, basically taking over from the PM. At the end, I asked about the next steps. The PM said they'd email me, but the consultant interjected, saying I'd get a coding exam, and they started arguing in front of me. The PM then told me she'd contact me on my way out. My recruiter later called, saying the PM's feedback to the director was positive. Two days later, the recruiter called to say they'd cancelled the process without any feedback.

Human Resources
First round was interesting. One HR interviewer was formal, but the business leader was down to earth and easy to chat with. The interview was typical: talk about background and answer business/competency questions. I got great feedback and was told I'd move to the next stages. I kept the agency updated on other roles. They told De Beers, who said 'let us know if we need to expedite her interview to next stage' and then went silent for two weeks. The agency eventually updated me that the role went to someone else. While that's fine, the way the company handled it and managed my expectations, especially for a high-profile business with HR leading, was disgraceful. Makes you wonder how they treat employees.
- Competency based questions were asked.
Procurement Coordinator
I interviewed with HR and the procurement manager. They were nice people and the office seemed like a good place to work. The questions were all behavioral. It felt a bit rigid because they seemed to be reading from a list, so it was hard to really connect during the conversation. The interview took about 40 minutes. Overall it was a decent experience, and the manager even gave me his card. I didn't get the job because mining is completely new to me, and they needed someone who knew both procurement and the industry well.
- Describe a time you had to make a decision without sufficient information, including how and when you did so.
