Had a phone interview that lasted about 30 minutes. It was with the HR Hiring Manager and my Direct Supervisor. They asked some pretty basic questions. A lot of it was about my salary expectations. They also asked about my future career goals and why I thought I'd be a good fit for the job and the company.

Someone reached out to me about a job and asked if I was interested. We had a phone chat about two days later where they asked me some Java questions. It was about 45 minutes long. Then, I got invited to a final round where three people interviewed me. First, two of them asked me to design a vending machine. After that, I had to solve a programming problem, and they kept adding constraints to it. The next interview felt more like a casual conversation, where they just asked about my past work and if I knew certain things. What really bugged me though was after all that, I never heard back about whether I got the job, and they didn't even reply when I emailed to ask. Super unprofessional, and the pay they offered was pretty low for this area.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The initial application and HR screening went smoothly and professionally. I had a good phone interview with the hiring manager. However, the in-person interview stage was problematic. I arrived early but had to wait an extra 30 minutes. The interviewers seemed to prioritize 'fit' over actual experience, and the role appeared more entry-level than mid-career. It took over two months to receive a rejection, which felt generic and was preceded by sparse communication. My advice is to reject candidates promptly and maintain neutral communication until an offer is made, and to send warmer rejection letters to those who reach the final stages.

The interview process began with a phone screen. Next, there was a written test. This test included creating 4 twitter posts, 1 blog entry, and 2 facebook posts on a given topic. It also involved developing a social media strategy for a client and editing some copies (copywriting). After that, I had an in-person interview where I met with 4 people. Finally, there was a reference check.
