After an online application, you'll do some online tests – numerical and verbal reasoning. Then there's a telephone interview where they might check your language skills. The final stage is an assessment centre in Dublin. This includes an interview where you'll get a hypothetical scenario and need to explain your approach, share a similar experience, and discuss relevant skills. You'll also have a pre-prepared presentation – know your sources, why you picked them, and finish on time as they cut people off. There's a group exercise, so get to know the others to work well together. A logic test is included, which grads from logistics and business management found okay, but others struggled; it's similar to the online tests. The whole assessment centre is in either a morning or afternoon, so not much downtime. There was also a networking event and presentation where someone won a tablet. Make sure you know DCC and its business areas inside out so you can chat with anyone about their sector. Also, know your preferred area and why.

The interview process involved 3 rounds, and overall, it was quite easy. It was quite disappointing that the local and group management had different expectations for the candidate. Even though I passed the first two stages, I was ultimately rejected in the final stage because I was too experienced, which is something they should have figured out from the beginning. Everyone I interacted with was very pleasant and friendly, suggesting it might be a good company to work for. However, the whole process took a long time, with two-week waiting periods after the first and third interviews, which was not ideal.

The interview process kicks off with numerical, logical, and verbal reasoning tests. Next, there's a 45-minute competency-based phone interview where they'll present scenarios for you to react to. They're looking to assess strengths like Entrepreneurial Spirit, Commercial Focus, Personal Adaptability, Energy and Resilience, Teamwork and Building Relationships, Drive for Results, Efficiency, and Quality. Make sure to have specific examples for each and be ready for scenario-based questions. Take your time, ask clarifying questions, and be specific. Then, you'll have 3-4 days to prepare and submit a presentation offering an innovative solution to a problem they provide. The key is to quantify the impact of your solution and prioritize the one with the best ROI (highest returns, lowest investments). Don't forget to cite your sources and be ready to justify your choices; DCC's annual reports are a good source of information. The process culminates in a half-day assessment center. This includes a presentation, a 45-minute interview (similar to the phone interview, they'll provide the evaluated strengths beforehand, so again, take your time and be specific), a group work session (focus on providing useful KPIs, showing initiative, and asking questions to your peers), and psychometric tests (based on my experience, avoid answering every question in the MCQ as it can lead to negative points). The rest of the day was enjoyable, featuring a presentation by the CEO and a nice dinner. The hotel was also quite nice, so prepare your examples and have a good time!

So first I had a phone interview where they asked us questions on different competencies. Then, about 100 of us were invited to an assessment centre. We had to do a few different tasks: a logical/maths test, a group exercise, a presentation, and an interview. After all that, there was a networking event which was pretty cool.
