First up was an interview with a trader who chatted about their role and how the job works, then I got to ask some questions. After that, I had a technical interview with the company founder where they showed some plots and asked me to answer questions about them.

First, they asked me to write answers to some general application questions. Then, they scheduled a 30-minute interview via email, saying there would be a problem-solving component. The interviewer was late, asked some random resume questions, skipped the problem-solving part, and ended the interview early. If not considering me, don't send an invite.

I applied with my resume after the university career fair and had my first interview at my school. It was a brief case interview with math problems. The next day, I had two more interviews: a business case interview and a coding case interview. Finally, they flew me out for a 2-day onsite visit. They paid for my flight and hotel, and I met almost everyone. They hosted a banquet, presentations, and team exercises. All my meals and transportation were covered. The company seems to really value their employees with good pay and nice dinners, but honestly, a lot of the people there were really unpleasant and condescending. They definitely seem to look for a specific type of person; I even saw someone without an ivy league degree get ignored.

I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled to for this company. I applied online in May 2018. A few weeks later, they called me for an initial screening interview, which I felt went well and was easy. Then, they sent me a coding challenge, which also seemed straightforward and I completed it fairly quickly, confident I did everything correctly. However, after a month and a half, on August 16th, they emailed to say they wouldn't be moving forward with my application due to a high volume of applicants. This left me wondering why they sent me the coding challenge if they weren't planning to consider my application further.
