First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DC Advisory.
Investment Banking Analyst
Had a recruiter call then a technical interview with Dartmouth, the technical interview was very basic motivational. The other interview had high level technical questions and probed into my experience. The process was very nice. The online assessment was next, it was very basic and simple, then an offer. The process was similar for M&A versus Debt/Restructuring roles.

Event Coordinator
The interview process started with an online meeting with the Director of Events and the Infrastructure Operations Manager. We chatted for about 30–40 minutes, mostly about my background and how I deal with various scenarios. They were keen to hear about my past experiences and my general approach. The next step was an in-person interview which involved me giving a full rundown of how I’d plan an event from start to finish. I covered branding, marketing ideas, and projected revenue increases. I presented this to seven people: the Director of Events, Operations, Marketing/Creative, Sales folks, and a senior manager from the US joining by call. Although they seemed to like my plans, they didn’t actually ask me any questions about the presentation itself. Instead, different people asked similar questions about company culture and if I’d be okay working late for US meetings, which felt a bit repetitive and odd. The presentation part went great, but I felt the panel could have engaged more after I finished.

Intern
It started with an online assessment, then a 10' phone interview, followed by a video interview and the assessment center. The assessment center included an in-person case study (you get 2h to work on it) and then technical and behavioral interviews, with two interviewers for each.

- Can you explain LBO?
- Can you explain valuation?
Analyst
It was a two-round process with one first year and one associate. They asked behavioral and technical questions. They covered basic resume questions, why IB, and why DCA. They also asked about willingness to relocate to DC. The technicals aren't hard if you prep a lot or have finance background.
