First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at dbHMS.
Lighting Designer
The interview was pretty chill, just audio on Microsoft Teams. A recruiter chatted with me about my past jobs, how I tackle problems, and what I'm looking for career-wise. We also covered the technical and interpersonal skills I have and how I'd handle not having certain ones.
- Can you walk me through your professional experiences?
Commissioning Engineer
The interview included general questions about my technical background, site work experience, and how I handle problems. We talked about projects I've worked on, if I'm flexible for travel, and how I work with teams. It felt professional and straightforward, focusing on practical engineering knowledge.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Intern
I had a 20 minute phone call where I did most of the talking and asked most of the questions. Then two weeks later, I had another interview meeting, but I didn't get the job because they chose someone else.
- About the classes you are taking?
Mechanical Engineer
I started with a phone screening, then had two more interviews. One was about the job description itself, and the final one was a culture/principal interview. The whole thing was organized really well and pretty standard.
- What are your expectations for your manager(s)?
