Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DB Schenker.
Executive Assistant
The interview process was pretty simple, though there was a considerable wait between the first and second rounds. They asked technical questions and about my past work experience. The interviewers were eager to talk about the company's work culture and their own experiences there.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Executive Assistant
We started with a resume review, then had a Skype interview with HR. After that, there was a group/individual interview with the management team where we had to write an essay on a topic they chose from three categories. Finally, there was another Skype interview with the VP.
- What are your thoughts on the logistics industry?
- What makes you a good fit for this role?
- Do you enjoy working in a repetitive manner?
Administrative Assistant
I met with the site GM and was asked ten standard interview questions about my experience. All very standard questions, nothing remarkable or difficult. I do know that the site has grown substantially, and interviews are probably much more formal now, and most likely conducted by an HR professional now. There was a multi-page list of interview questions for new hires when I left the company, and these questions ranged from simple and expected skills based questions to more complex behavioral questions. There are far more behavioral questions than skills based in the packet.
- Can you tell me more about [specific experience from resume]?
