Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DB Schenker.
Business Analyst
It was a Power BI role so they asked questions related to Power BI and data modelling. The process went smoothly and the interviewer was friendly and even helped me with some technical aspects. This role wasn't a typical business analyst job; it was more focused on SQL and data handling.
- Could you explain Power BI data modelling?
- Can you discuss DAX functions?
System Analyst
I had to do some online personality tests first, and after passing those, I was scheduled for an online panel interview. This interview was with the hiring manager and the head of the department. It went well, and the questions were direct and relevant to the job, without any tricky parts. The interview lasted about an hour. Overall, it was a positive experience.
- Given that the role is a hybrid of your current duties and will require you to do other things, are you still interested?
Business Analyst
Submitted application online and had a phone call. Interviews were scheduled a few days later. The interviews were pretty straightforward, and the managers were very nice and helpful with any questions. I was really satisfied. They briefly explained what the role would entail, and then I was asked a couple of general questions.
- Tell me about your academic background and why you applied for this position.
