First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Day & Zimmermann.
Salesforce Developer
There were 2 interview rounds total. The first was with the hiring manager where they asked standard questions about my experience and projects. The second round was with the client's IT director and included more technical and behavioral questions.
- Tell me about your general experience.
- Can you discuss your past projects?
- Questions about APEX
Web Developer
The interview process started with a recruiter or hiring manager, then moved on to the team lead. The first interview was mainly about my background and how I'd fit the role. The next one was more typical web developer questions, like defining concepts and explaining how things work, especially with Angular. If I was actively coding, the answers might be easier, but since I wasn't, the specific technology details aren't things that immediately come to mind.
- Can you explain how data is passed between Angular components?
SAP Solution Architect
Pretty straightforward process. Got a take-home test via email. All the questions were behavioral, and they gave feedback on the test. There were 3 people interviewing. Remote work is likely. They weren't too professional. We talked about my experience and went through my resume.
- Can you elaborate on your experience as it relates to your resume or past projects?
Finance
They were very responsive in setting up the interview. It was a one-on-one lunch at a restaurant. I spoke with both the internal recruiter and the hiring manager. The people there are smart. Since it's a privately owned company, there's no financial transparency. The CEO is third generation owner. They don't seem to be big spenders and have a low-key culture with a low public profile. I didn't hear back for several weeks after the interview, but they do have a great reputation in the community. Their corporate office houses all the administrators, and they mentioned that they don't make money at that location, even though they have thousands of employees worldwide. The interview was conversational but had some piercing questions that could catch you off guard.
- What financial software are you familiar with?
