First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Davis Companies.
Civil Engineer
I applied online and a recruiter reached out for a phone screening. The recruiter was my main point of contact. Then I had a phone interview with 3 people. After that, I had a 1:1 follow-up call with the Professional Engineer. Finally, the recruiter let me know I got the offer.
- Can you tell me about yourself and what about this role interests you?
Production Lab Technician
I had an initial phone screen, and then they scheduled an in person interview with Davis' client. But the interview got canceled via text message just a few hours before it was supposed to happen. I was pretty upset about it since I'd spent a lot of time researching the job and had to rearrange another interview to make it.
- Would you be available for an in-person interview at the specified time and date?
Sales Account Manager
The interview process involved 2 rounds, with each round lasting 3 hours. While the duration was long, it significantly improved my interview skills. I had the chance to speak with nearly everyone in the company, even though my role didn't directly interact with all of them. Everyone was friendly, but they tended to ask the same questions, which led to me repeating myself quite a bit.
- Can you describe a particularly challenging situation you've faced and explain how you managed to resolve it?
Recruiter
The interview process for this recruiter role took a bit of time. It started with a phone call screen, followed by an interview with two members of the Training and Development team. After that, there were two more rounds of interviews, involving a total of five employees from three different recruiting teams. The interviewers were smart and knew exactly the kind of candidate they wanted. They answered questions about daily tasks, career paths, and benefits at Davis quickly. It was notable that 6 out of the 7 employees interviewed had been with the company for over 4 years and had really good things to say about working there.
- Can you summarize yourself in three words?
- How do you handle rejection?
- How resilient are you?
