First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Davies.
Claims Assistant
The first interview went well, and the recruiter said she would set up a panel interview for the next week. Two days later, I got an email confirming the panel interview with a Teams link for Monday at 2pm. However, on Monday morning, I received an email stating the VP was sick and the interview needed to be rescheduled. I tried to follow up by email for a new date but never heard back, so they basically ghosted me.
- Could you discuss your previous experience?
Data Governance Analyst
It started with a 30-minute intro call on Teams, and the panel seemed really nice. I felt like it went well. But then I got zero feedback or any word back on the result, which was super frustrating. I tried to follow up with HR and Recruitment, but they just ignored me. It was really unprofessional and rude, and honestly made the company look terrible. I spent a lot of time getting ready for it, and it felt like a total waste of my time. I wouldn't suggest this company to anyone; they just seem to waste your time.
- What are your salary expectations?
Talent Acquisition Manager
The interview process was quite pleasant overall. It started with a meet-and-greet type of initial call which also included some technical questions. Then, the next stage went deeper into my expertise, skills, and also explored how I align with the company's values and culture. While the feedback I received was positive, the whole process took about 4 weeks to get feedback, which was a bit lengthy.
- What are your core values when looking for a new job opportunity?
Marketing Specialist
My recruiter called out of the blue to set up a meeting with the hiring manager, no email or anything. Then I had a meeting with the hiring manager, then a writing assignment, and then a scheduled call with the manager. Two hours before the meeting, after I submitted the assignment, the recruiter called to say the appointment was canceled and they'd let me know when the manager was free. I even followed up a week later and got totally ghosted. It's been 3 weeks. It feels like they're trying to get free ideas from interviewees instead of actually hiring someone.
- Can you describe past campaigns you've managed?
