We'll be looking at your overall personality, from your IT and social skills to your social networks and whether you're a people person. We'll also assess your time management, team role-playing, role modeling, leading, and delegating abilities. Your convincing and presentation skills, confidence level, and individual enterprise for exploration and expansion will be evaluated. Building networks is key.
- How much time can you commit?
Stylist
The interview kicked off with the manager, who was super upbeat and easy to chat with. Then the assistant manager jumped in and was just as fun. They mostly asked questions to get a sense of my personality – like, do I have the energy to hype up a bride and make her feel excited? Am I able to collaborate well with the team and also work independently? They asked me to describe myself, my hobbies, and what would make me a valuable addition to the sales team. Pretty much, they wanted me to be my authentic self and let my personality shine through. I heard back the very next morning.
- If you were at a party where you only knew your friend, would you stay with them or mingle with others?
- Since we need to stay fashion-forward in this industry, could you sell me the outfit you're wearing right now by describing it in the best way possible?
Senior Software Developer
The interview process started with a phone screen with the hiring manager, where they asked some questions mainly about my background and experience, and a few technical questions that weren't too difficult if you know what you're doing. If that went well, there was a Skype interview with the CIO, which again involved more discussion about my background, some questions about my future plans, and a discussion about the future plans for David Corp. The negative part of the experience was that I thought the interviews went well and expected to move to face-to-face interviews with the hiring manager and development team. However, I received no communication after the Skype interview, even after I emailed both the hiring manager and CIO. I didn't even get a simple thank you note or confirmation that other candidates were being considered. Seeing the job posting again on Indeed two weeks later was the only indication I wasn't selected. While the hiring manager and CIO were pleasant, and the company's salary and benefits were competitive (except for limited PTO), their lack of communication after the interviews has made me unwilling to accept an offer.
- Did you have any experience with particular javascript frameworks?
Front Desk Developer
The experience was great and entertaining. They asked questions from all fields and judged based on overall performance. There were no technical questions, but questions to judge interpersonal skills. I would recommend these types of interviews.
- Can you tell me which song you relate to?
