The first interview was a standard recruiter screen, and the second was a bit more relaxed. If they needed to, they might have done additional interviews. Overall, it was structured at first, but got more casual as it went on. They asked some prepared questions and some that were more spontaneous.

It was a client interview because I work for a consulting firm. I went to the employer's location and interviewed with the management team of the department I would be working in. The interview focused on my skills related to the department's work. The client is a federal agency that manages the high voltage transmission system, so the questions were mainly about bulk electric system analysis, my experience with power flow software, and my knowledge of federal standards for operating a high voltage transmission system. They also asked a bit about my ability to work under stress. The interviewers were quite friendly.

I sent in my application online last Friday and heard back from them the next Monday for a quick screening chat. About a week after that, I got another call to set up an interview with the senior rail project manager. Since I'm not living in the area, we did a phone interview. It was pretty short, around 30 minutes, which makes me a bit nervous, but I think it went okay. The interview was just today, and they said I'd hear back in about two to three weeks. Normally it'd be quicker, but the person interviewing me is going on vacation next week.

Applied online and then got contacted a week later for a screening interview from HR. Another week later, I was contacted for an interview with two project managers in the same department as the position. After the in-person interview, they asked for my reference list and contacted at least one of them. I never heard back with any news, good or bad.
