I had a phone interview first, which was pretty simple and mostly went over my resume. Then I had an in-person interview with the President and the Head of Business Development. The interview started a bit late, about 20 minutes past the scheduled time. Overall, it was a good experience. They seemed really keen on helping new graduates break into the pharmaceutical industry. The people I met were very friendly and open-minded. The interview mainly involved discussing my resume and asking how each part of it was relevant to the role.

The interview process was quite brief and straightforward, wrapping up in under two hours. My impression was that the company was really eager to hire someone with a PhD, perhaps more so than concerned about specific experience. I only spoke with the chief medical officer; I didn't meet the CEO or any potential team members. Instead of being asked questions, I mostly listened to them explain how great it would be to work at DAVA Oncology.

This place is a joke. Do not waste your time. They had me do 3 phone interviews and they gave me two assignments in which I spent a lot of time. The CEO then proceeded to tell me he really liked what I wrote and that they wanted to hire me, he said one of his employees would contact me for an in-office visit and that was it, I never heard back. When I checked back in (like 4 times) they didn't have the decency to get back to me. I would have been fine if they had just emailed me back and said they were sorry but things had changed a bit and they were no longer looking for someone, but they didn't even do that. Complete waste of time, so unprofessional.

The first round was telephonic. I got the call in the late evening but had to postpone it to the next business day as I was traveling. The second round was an online face-to-face interview. A third round may happen.
