First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Datto.
Account Executive
The interview process started with a recruiter screening call. Following that, there was a 1:1 with the hiring manager. The third round is expected to be a presentation and Q&A session with the senior team. Tanisha from the initial screening call was great, explaining the company and the role. I was impressed that she could answer my sales-related questions, which was beyond what I expected.
- Can you tell me about the typical questions you'd ask during an interview for this type of role?
Sales Executive
The interview process was easy and quick. It took me just over a week to finish a two-stage interview and a psychometric test. Everyone I interacted with was nice and helpful. I got feedback within two days.
- Can you tell me about the biggest sale you've ever made?
- What unique value would you contribute to our team?
Account Executive
The recruiter, who seemed new and inexperienced, kept saying how I was a perfect fit. The process involved a personality test, which is standard, but also some weird cognitive tests. These tests included things like pattern recognition and basic math problems, similar to SATs, but with only pen and paper allowed and a very tight time limit of 15 minutes for 50 questions. After I completed the tests, the recruiter took 5 days to get back to me, only to say I wasn't moving forward. When I asked for feedback, she ignored my email and wouldn't give any reasons. Honestly, don't waste your time, but the cognitive test is pretty funny if you want a laugh.
- Can you describe your typical daily responsibilities?
