The hiring manager will coordinate the interview schedule. The first round, led by the CTO, was the only interview conducted. No other interviewers were present for this approximately 30-minute session. The interview involved a self-introduction, followed by questions related to the candidate's resume, and concluded with a brief overview of the company by the CTO.

So there were two rounds in total. The first round was technical, focused on Java and required doing some JSON data jobs using Java. The second round was about BQ, and they mainly asked SQL-related questions, although they didn't require writing SQL, just general questions.

It started with an initial phone screen, then a 30-min manager interview, followed by an hour-long in-depth call with the manager. After that, there was a 15-min HR interview, and finally a panel interview with 4 rounds. They asked typical behavioral and general technical questions for Senior Support Engineers. Everything seemed to be a good fit until the first panel round where the VP mentioned he was actually looking for over 10 years of experience in fraud detection, even though the manager had implied little to no experience was needed. He also seemed to imply that the role would involve directing Senior Data Scientists and Senior Product Engineers, which was unexpected. He spent most of his time explaining how much more complex DataVisor's software and tools were compared to what was on my resume. We ended the interview early, and I left before the other rounds. He did mention at the beginning that he often sends people home early for this role. The job description mentioned 3+ years in Support.

It was a pretty unprofessional process. I went through 7 rounds of interviews, all of which involved medium-hard Leetcode problems. The interviewers were nice, but communication was tough sometimes because they were from China, and they often didn't have their cameras on. Sometimes there was loud background noise from their homes. HR was really slow to respond, taking over a week, and didn't give much info about the company, just scheduled interviews.
