So after you apply, they do an application review. Then there's a technical phone screen, followed by a coding assessment. After that, you go into a database design interview, then a systems design interview, and a behavioral interview. Then there's a panel interview, and they do reference checks. Finally, there's one last interview before they give you a job offer.

The whole thing took about a month. It started with a recruiter reaching out. Then I had a 30-minute phone chat with the director. They seemed chill to talk to. They asked some basic stuff about the job and my resume. They said they'd get back to me in about two weeks. I never heard back. I tried reaching out to the recruiter a few times. After over a month, I got an automated email saying I didn't make it. I really didn't like how this whole interview process went. There was just no communication happening between me and the recruiter.

The process was geared towards gathering evidence for H1B applicants in India, showing the Labor Department that no one in the USA could be hired. For "remote jobs" in the USA, don't bother applying. Regardless of your experience, they'll find reasons why an H1B remote consultant offshore could replace you. Although the job description mentioned up to 25% travel within the USA, my question about the necessity of this travel for US-based employees wasn't clearly answered by the interviewers. I suspect this is because they're based overseas and found my question amusing, knowing the real purpose of this "game" called a "technical interview." They'll agree to any salary you name to the Recruiter because their actual goal is to conduct a formal interview to justify hiring more cheap labor from overseas.
