It was a three part interview. First, an initial interview. Second, a personality test. Third, they reviewed the test results and determined if you were a good fit. The whole process took about 2 weeks to fully hire. It was pretty easy, but they really leaned on the test results to make the hiring decision.

The hiring process was really fast, which tells you if they're interested. You don't have a ton of interviews, just a couple. Everyone I met seemed great and really into Datamax. They did make me do a paper assessment, which I'm not a fan of, especially when they say there's no right or wrong answer. I mean, there is, the answers that get you hired! It wasn't too long, thankfully. It was weird doing a paper test since we sell tech that's supposed to save time. It's a great company with awesome people, but it wasn't the right fit for me. I thought I'd be selling a mix of IT, phones, and copiers, but it's split into departments, and I would have just been selling copiers. They said I could get credit for phone referrals, which is nice. It's a very metrics-driven, almost micromanaged place, which isn't for everyone, especially me because I like to be creative in sales. Management seems to be stuck in their ways. On the plus side, the leaders are amazing and passionate. The hours didn't work for me either, as I need to get my kids to school. They have a dedicated training room, which shows they invest in their people, and I loved that.
