So, the process usually kicks off with a quick chat, like an HR screen, just to see if you're a basic fit and can talk. Then, you dive into technical interviews, could be one or a few, testing your skills and how you solve problems. The last part is normally meeting the hiring manager or some higher-ups, checking if you vibe with the team and stuff. They decide based on how you do in all the interviews.

HR reached out via Naukri. The process had 4 rounds: L1, L2, HR, and a techno-managerial round. It was mostly smooth, but they wasted my time. Even after clearing all rounds, I wasn't selected. HR said the Team Lead needs to be in the office 5 days a week. I agreed, but they still didn't select me, which felt weird. Scheduling and communication were also unprofessional, mainly using WhatsApp. So, if you're applying for a similar role (php lead), talk to the hiring managers carefully before interviewing, as they have a bad reputation.

Phone interviews are an easy way to screen job seekers. In just a few quick questions, phone screeners allow you to vet a candidate and make sure they are a strong match skill-wise before you decide to invest further time in them. At this stage, you'll want to focus on high-level questions to make sure they meet the requirements of the role. Behavioral questions allow you to find the best fit for each role, and help you hire employees who can drive innovation, productivity, customer satisfaction and profits. Determine test objectives, e.g. personality, values, skills, etc. and decide how candidates will be moved forward or eliminated based on the results. At this stage in the interview process, you already know that the candidate is generally well-qualified for the role, so it's time to dig further into culture fit and work style. See if you can identify what motivates a candidate, what drew them to your company and how they work on a team, amongst other questions.
