It was a long and very detailed interview process with a lot of people from different teams. We did a panel interview where I had to do a deep technical conversation and then a physical demo of the product on the platform.

It was a mix of one-on-one chats and a role-play demo for a panel. The talks were mainly to see if we'd vibe culturally and for me to learn about them like they did about me. The demo required me to get up to speed on the product via their Academy, but honestly, they seemed more interested in my approach than my product smarts, which I thought was fair.

The recruiter reached out to schedule a screening call. They mentioned they were impressed with my profile but then decided not to proceed, stating they were moving forward with candidates with stronger data science experience. I find this odd given my CV clearly outlines my skills and willingness to learn, and my experience demonstrates passion, coachability, and commitment to business success. It feels like a waste of time if there wasn't a technical reason, especially since the recruiter seemed tired and uninterested. They asked about salary expectations, which I suspect might have been the deciding factor, rather than a technical issue that would have been addressed in a subsequent interview.
