Technical Presentation

So I interviewed, and it wasn't great. Started with a normal recruiter chat, then got a take-home assignment. I wasn't thrilled about doing a big assignment so early, but I did it. It involved learning their product for about 30-60 mins and then making a technical spec for customer requests. I asked for clarification, but it took like a week to get a not-so-helpful answer. The assignment took hours. Next, I presented my work, but the last half hour was suddenly technical questions they didn't mention beforehand. The questions were okay but felt random for a TPM role working with software engineers – like asking about website search and the security lock icon. Weird. After that, radio silence for a week. Then a generic rejection email, like it was for a basic application, not someone who spent hours on their stuff. I asked for feedback, waited over a week, and still nothing. If they expect that much work, they should at least give feedback. The slow responses and lack of respect for my time made me feel bad about their hiring process. Be careful how much time you put in, it might not be worth it.

it was easy and smooth, had 3 interviews in total: one with HR, one with a technical manager, and one with a non-technical manager. the process was very easy and straightforward, no technical examination, some questions about technical processes but wasn't like an exam.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process involved 5 rounds with the TAM. There were "standard" 1-hour interviews with future colleagues, an interview to check technical skills (actually reasoning skills), and an exercise to prepare beforehand related to the role. The exercise was quite difficult to prepare for as it concerned an industry I didn't know at all at the time.
