The interview process at DataDome was thorough and clearly thoughtful, though longer than expected, with interviews sometimes spaced a couple of weeks apart. While the pacing made it a bit challenging to maintain momentum and excitement at times, I ultimately took it as a sign that the team was being intentional about timing and carefully considering how and when to introduce a new role. What consistently kept me engaged throughout the process was the strength of the people themselves — each conversation reflected a high level of intelligence, curiosity, and care for how the business operates. The assessment portion was presented to a panel, and I remember even asking whether the group had previously been on a call together, as it initially felt less unified than other stages. That said, the interview pairings were very thoughtfully chosen, and as the conversation progressed, it became clear how complementary those perspectives were for the role and the types of decisions it would support. The discussions felt grounded in real challenges, not hypotheticals, which made the process feel substantive and authentic.

Behavioral Presentation

Started with a recruiter screen, then talked to the hiring manager a few days later. After that, I had a big project to do and present a few days later. I thought it went well, but then heard nothing back at all. It's really unprofessional when companies ghost candidates after just one interview, but to do it after someone spends hours interviewing and working on a project is just embarrassing. Maybe it's for the best, though, because a company that can't manage its hiring process probably has bad day-to-day operations too. Dodged a bullet!

This whole thing started out seeming cool and all, but now it's just a letdown. They basically gave me this huge consulting project that took up tons of my time and energy. I even had to take a day off work and go to their office for a presentation. Since then? Nothing. Radio silence. They totally made it seem like things were moving forward, but then just left me hanging. I've followed up multiple times and nobody's getting back to me. It's wild how unprofessional and disrespectful that is. I thought Datadome was great at first, but after this, I'm pretty sure I dodged a bullet.

Behavioral Technical Other

I talked to the recruiter and then the CTO. They both went well, so I got moved to the case study part. The assignment was supposed to take up to a week. It actually had 4 parts: making slides for new customer service people, prepping for a current client support issue that was a real problem for them, coming up with a product improvement idea with estimates to fix that client issue, and sales prep for a big prospect they mentioned. I got the assignment on a Tuesday and had to turn it in the next Monday. I finished it on time. 33 days after I first contacted them, I was rejected without any reason. It seems like this company might use people for free work, which is wild unprofessionalism. I'm calling the interview 'easy' because the actual assignment was easy, maybe everyone gets that far.
