Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Datadog.
Sales
It was a smooth, fast, and really organized process from start to finish. I met with the Hiring Manager, the SC lead, and some peers. They even set up meetings with a few other people I asked to meet with. Super organized, structured, and professional.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Datadog?
- How would you present Datadog to prospective employees?
Sales Representative
The procedure was quite informal and very friendly, feeling more like a conversation than a traditional job interview. The interview was conducted via an online video call because I was not in the country at the time; otherwise, it would have been in person. They were very understanding about not having much experience right after graduating from university, and this was reflected in the interview. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, focusing on getting to know me as a person and understanding my motivation. There was supposed to be a second interview with an executive, but I canceled it because I was no longer interested in the position.
- What makes you interested in Datadog and specifically in sales?
- Explain your suitability for a sales role.
- Tell me about a time you received challenging feedback.
Sales Leader
The interview was more formal than I expected. Parking was difficult so make sure to give yourself enough time. Multiple interviewers at the same time. They requested 30-60-90 day plan.
- Can you outline your 30-60-90 day plan?
