The interview process was really good. Everyone I talked with was considerate and spent time getting to know me and my career goals so we could align. When it reached the offer stage, they still gave me time to think so I could make an informed choice. They provided quick feedback and clear expectations about the process.

The process lasted about a month and I had five separate interviews set on different days over that month. A few of the people I spoke with didn’t seem engaged in the conversation at all and were unprepared. Another interviewer came late and I only got to talk to him for about ten minutes. It felt like I was just another number to them since they are just bringing in people from their old teams at Uber. I think DataBricks already had someone else in mind the whole time and just went through the motions of interviewing other candidates so they could hire people from their old team at Uber. 4 out of 5 interviewers have been at the company for less than six months. Extremely disappointing and a waste of my time. If you’re applying for Recruiting roles here, remember they are actively bringing in people from their old team at Uber.

Started off with a phone screen round with the Hiring Manager. Super friendly and very clear on what they were looking for and what they had to offer. Also went into detail about the company and their culture. From there, I moved on to another 3 rounds of interviews with cross-functional people as well as direct teammates to assess my culture fit and competencies. The final round had me meet with the Chief People Officer to wrap it up.
