First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Data Glove.
Senior Consultant
It was a weird interview process. I was contacted in November and we talked about basic data architecture concepts and some problem solving scenarios. I waited until March to hear back for a second interview which was mostly conversational.
- Can you describe how you would build a data warehouse that pulls data from various sources for a central platform?
IT Consultant
First, there was a quick pre-screening call over the phone. After that, the main event was a face-to-face technical interview lasting about 30-40 minutes with a panel of at most two people. They'll ask questions from your resume, focusing on technical aspects, projects, and your current job duties. If you pass the technical round, you'll move on to the HR round. This is a straightforward discussion about salary negotiation, your preferred location, and your notice period. Make sure you're well-prepared for the interview process.
- How would you measure exactly 4 liters of water if you only had a 3-liter bottle and a 5-liter bottle available?
- You have to measure exactly 4 liters of water, but you only have a 3-liter bottle and a 5-liter bottle. How do you do it?
Project Manager
I was contacted via LinkedIn by a recruiter. After requesting a job description, I was given a brief summary. I then had to complete a 3-part exercise that took about 8 hours. After submitting, I got a remote interview request for Sunday. I accepted, but no one showed up. After following up, I was told the interviewer couldn't make it. The interview was rescheduled for the next day. Again, I was left waiting with no contact. After chasing again, I was asked if I was available in 30 minutes, which I was. The remote interview finally happened with one person who only asked theory questions from PMP and Scrum books. He didn't ask about my experience or my submitted exercise, which he hadn't even reviewed. This whole process felt unprofessional and was the worst interview experience I've had in 15 years.
- Can you answer theory questions related to the PMP curriculum?
- Can you answer theory questions related to the Scrum curriculum?
Senior Recruiter
The process was pretty straightforward: started with an initial call from HR, then a technical phone interview with a senior person, followed by an in-person meeting with the talent acquisition manager and Director. It all wrapped up in two days, and the HR team was super helpful with coordination.
