The interview process was good, the interviewer was nice and knowledgeable. However, the company had no openings, so my time was wasted. The interview included easy Data Structures and Algorithms questions, followed by a discussion on AI and data science topics.

So, first I had to do this online assessment with like 2-3 DSA questions. If I passed that, I got moved to the interview round. The interview was with a panel, and they asked me some conceptual questions about OOPs. Then they gave me two medium DSA coding problems to solve, one was about finding the maximum subarray sum and the other was about DFS traversal in a graph. We also talked a bit about how I approached it, the time complexity, and edge cases.

The interview was of moderate difficulty, lasting about 10-15 minutes. It really focused on practical knowledge. For the Data Scientist role, they asked detailed questions about core Python and SQL concepts, as well as NLP. The overall experience with the office staff was good; they even provided free breakfast before the interview.

I got an interview opportunity for a Solution Analyst role. Initially, I was told there would be three rounds. The first round covered SQL concepts, BI, my overall experience, and past projects. Round two focused on SQL and data modeling using a case study and lasted about 50 minutes to an hour. After passing the second round, I was informed about the final round with the Indian management team in Pune. This round was about discussing my experience, projects, and understanding the company and its projects. I followed up with HR, who was supposed to provide an update, but the management wasn't giving a clear status, and they were interviewing other candidates concurrently. After about 10-12 days, when I followed up again, HR said my chances were slim and advised me to look elsewhere. I then gave up on Data Axle. A week later, HR called again, asking if I was still available for the position, stating they would finalize me and extend an offer the same day, even offering an interim offer to encourage me to resign from my current job. I then had another discussion with the head HR, who apologized for the process's inconveniences, and I found her apology genuine. I expected the offer within two days, but upon following up, HR informed me that the offer wasn't approved by the Indian management, even though the US management had approved my desired LPA. The Indian management, as usual, couldn't approve it. Data Axle is a good company to learn and work on projects, but the Indian management team makes the process mentally draining due to the lack of clear status, making candidates feel taken for granted. I saw similar reviews on Glassdoor but hoped for a better experience. So, while Data Axle is a good company, don't get too invested in their words, as they might offer an offer letter one day and then say they can't meet the budget the next.
