Commercial Manager
The hiring process timing depends on the company's needs at the moment. It includes a chat with HR (the BPs, which can vary in approach and depth) and discussions with peers.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Tell me about challenges you faced in your previous role.
- Describe situations that you felt proud of.
Manager
The interview went well, with points clarified and the process was clear and executed as agreed. All approaches focused on the process, and no information was omitted. Clarity on the expectations for the role was also good, and when asked about strategy, next steps, challenges, and how they saw my future area performing, they presented the points clearly and objectively.
- What were my strategic contributions over the last 2 years?
- What is the expectation for acting in the role?
- What are the points related to strategy?
Manager
There were two stages. First, a call with a headhunter who was very attentive. Second, an interview at the company with the manager and the HR professional. The manager seemed rushed and hadn't even reviewed my CV beforehand. She asked few probing questions, mostly just 'tell me about your experience.' However, the HR professional was well-prepared, had read my CV, asked well-crafted questions, requested examples of past experiences, and was very transparent in explaining the internal situation and the challenge associated with the role. I waited two weeks for feedback and then emailed the headhunter consultancy for a status update, but never received a response. Overall, I never got any feedback from either the consultancy or the company.
- Nothing out of the ordinary.
