First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DAS Technology.
Director, Client Success
I first talked to the recruiter who was nice. I met the hiring manager who was the SVP and most of the company executives. The issue is they made me interview with 9 executives, which felt excessive. I was also put off by a comment from the CEO about layoffs being tied to goals, which shows a disconnect from the tech world. The job also required 5 days in office and paid less than my previous roles. The office has only one elevator/exit, which seemed to fit the micromanagement vibe. It feels like a 'big fish, small pond' environment, and I've seen people fired with little notice.
- Could you share the number of individuals you've hired and terminated?
PPC Analyst
This is a 3 to 4 step process. You start with a phone screening, then an assessment, and finally a mock project. The assessment is pretty basic, but the way they mark it is really rigid. They ask straightforward questions and expect a very specific answer. Even if your answer is correct, it might be marked wrong if it doesn't match the exact wording they're looking for. If HR is reviewing it, they might not have much knowledge about SEM. So, make sure to answer fully and stuff it with keywords! Learned this the hard way, lol.
- Were there any general questions asked, or were they all out of the blue?
SEM/PPC Specialist
It's a really long and complicated interview and onboarding process. You start with an interview with the in house HR person. After that, you'll do a short written assignment, followed by a longer sample campaign project. Then, there's a final interview with the managers that lasts about an hour. If you get the job, expect to travel to their offices in AZ for 2 weeks of training and onboarding.
- If you were offered the job, would you be willing to travel to AZ for two weeks of training?
Copywriter
The whole process was great. The recruiter really felt like she was actually on my side, which is WAY different coming out of other companies. She helped find a time that was good for me and didn't drag anything out. the interview was actually set up outside of office hours. This means the recruiter wasn't on the clock. That counts for something in my book!
- What traits do you value in colleagues?
