I had a technical screen that asked about my experience. Then a technical interview focused on data modeling and SQL. After that, there were two behavioural interviews, one with the head of data and another with a data analyst, covering topics like dealing with challenges and communicating with non-technical stakeholders.

The interview process felt pretty laid-back. I ended up talking to 6 different people over the course of 6 weeks. There was a small take-home assignment, but beyond that, all the interviews were just relaxed chats with people on the team.

Behavioral

Applied and got a response within days. Interviewed with the recruiter the next day, which was super fast. She gave an overview of the company and talked about growth opportunities since it's a startup. It was pretty casual and conversational, which was nice. She asked standard questions and answered mine. Setting up the interview with the hiring manager was also quick. Still waiting to hear about an offer, but it feels like a growing team and company with great potential.

Coding System Design

went through standard 3 stage interview process: recruiter screening, coding interview (in language of your choice), technical system design interview. Prepared for weeks and finished all technical interview rounds only to have company freeze immediately hiring. Neither the company nor recruiter proactively followed up, I had to reach out to multiple people after radio silence to get an update.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • A brain teaser coding question to assess thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
