The hiring journey began with an online resume submission, followed by an immediate email confirmation. Within a couple of days, if my profile was a good fit, the Division HR reached out, sending paperwork to schedule the initial interview. Since it was a busy hiring week, my first 1:1 interview was quite packed. I interviewed with either the Division HR rep or the Director of the region, and this lasted about an hour. They asked about my past work and educational background. Afterward, I was thanked and told they'd be in touch with a decision. About three days later, the Division HR director contacted me again for what felt like a final interview, which then led to a timed online personality test. After passing that, I received a job offer.

After an initial interview with the local director of operations, I was sent to the home office in Orlando for further interviews. There, I met one-on-one with higher management. They asked about what I could bring to the company as a manager. I highlighted my tenure with the company, my passion for its core values, and the personal growth I've experienced. I also explained how my self-taught knowledge and insights gained from working with other managers and GMs would allow for a smooth transition into the manager role, as it felt very natural to me already.

First, you apply online and complete an assessment. About a week later, the Talent Recruiter will give you a call for a phone interview. Dress professionally for the interview; Darden values a well-kept appearance. Make sure you're familiar with the company before you go and have some questions ready to ask them at the end. Be upbeat during the interview. My suggestion is to connect with the recruiter in the first couple of minutes before diving into the main topics.
