Behavioral Technical Other

It started with a chat with a colleague and my potential boss, where I mostly listened and went over my CV and past work. Then, I had a technical interview with a subject matter expert and another colleague. They asked really specific, technical questions directly related to my declared expertise from previous roles, which was tough but fair since I only claimed to be an expert in those areas. After that, I had to complete some online IQ and personality tests before the last interview. The final meeting was low-pressure, mainly discussing my test results and asking follow-up questions based on them. I got the final offer over the phone, pending a drug test.

Behavioral Technical Other

Applied in Feb 2015 and heard back end of March 2015. First interview was in April 2015 with the hiring manager and another team member. It was informal, asking about my skills and more about me, my studies, books I read, and hobbies. The hiring manager seemed to think I'd pass to the next stage. A few days later, I got invited for a second interview with the hiring manager, another manager, and HR. This was mostly about the personality test, intense questions, high pressure. I felt like I had to constantly defend myself and prove them wrong. After the weekend, I got an offer.

Behavioral Technical

I interviewed with the hiring manager for the Strategic Consultant role. The conversation was very short, and I wasn't able to introduce myself or explain my motivation. The manager repeatedly asked why I was applying for a banking position, even though my CV indicates an interest in consulting. I explained my interest in skill development, project involvement, and my background in a different business area. Despite my explanations, she kept asking the same question, which halted the conversation. There were a few questions about the future of banking, but we didn't get to the problem-solving part. The interview ended early, lasting only 30 minutes. It felt more like an interrogation than an interview. A brief initial call to discuss motivations and expectations would have been beneficial.
