System Design Technical Coding

The interview was pretty quick, about 3 hours total. It included System Design, some basic engineering questions, and a live coding session that was like Leetcode. I talked with their Engineering Lead and a Senior Engineer. For the System Design part, we looked at designing a payment system. Then they asked me about Java basics, software engineering concepts, and databases. Finally, I had to do a Leetcode problem of medium difficulty.

Technical Coding Behavioral

So there are three steps in total. First, they sent over two online code tests; one basic coding test and another one that's specialized for the role (backend engineer in my case). After that, I had a technical interview with two software engineers. They had me solve a code on a whiteboard and asked me some questions about OOP and DSA. They also inquired about my previous projects and my specific contributions. I didn't get any feedback after this and had to wait two weeks to hear back that I passed to move on. The second interview was with HR. They asked a lot about my past projects, but focused more on teamwork and communication with colleagues. They also asked about STAR method scenarios and some hypothetical work situations. Unfortunately, they didn't get back to me for a week and didn't provide any feedback.
