First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DANA.
Data Scientist
So I had a hackerrank technical test first (multiple choice), then another hackerrank test for feature engineering with a 72 hour window. The HR phone screen happened around the same time as the second hackerrank. After that, there was a user interview. Unfortunately, I didn't pass.
- Can you tell me about your experience with AI?
- What was your thesis about?
- How do you keep yourself updated on the latest technology?
Data Scientist
The interview process at DANA was pretty organized and professional. I started with an online technical test, then did a take-home assignment, and finally had a chat with HR. They were good at communicating and explaining what they were looking for. Even though it was competitive, the whole thing felt really put together.
- Could you tell me about your previous projects and what you have done based on your experience?
Data Scientist Intern
The interview process included a take-home test involving video analysis using Python (IPNYB) and a machine learning algorithm. This was followed by an ad-hoc discussion about data science roles, covering 3-month and 6-month timelines. Finally, there was an HR interview with basic questions.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Do you have any basic questions?
- Can you discuss your past project experience?
