First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dana Incorporated.
Frontend Loader Operator
I worked at Dana in Lima, Ohio for 26 years until they closed their plant. I spent about 18 years in shipping, loading trucks. I also operated CNC machines, press machines, and assembled driveshafts on the line, which involved knocking them down and welding them. I was a team leader for a 230-person line that produced steering shafts.
- Haven't had one yet. Hope I can get one with Vanamatics.

Driveline Engineer
The interview process was very straightforward, but the questions and perspectives weren't consistent with the practical work activities. It felt like an interview for a project engineer role, but the practical work described was more aligned with a CAD engineer. It was basically a completely different story from what was described and expected.
- Can you describe the technical drawing of an axle and explain the functions of its sub-components?
Customer Service Representative
Graduate Engineering Trainee
The safety at the company is great, with good shoes, clean pathways, and walkways. The canteen was also really nice. However, the HR was very unprofessional; they would shout and ask questions not related to the job description. They also made us wait outside for 2 hours.
- They asked about your family situation.
- They seemed to reject people who looked 'middle class'.
- They appear to only want employees from lower middle class backgrounds so they wouldn't complain about the work.
